Back To Bemidji And No Longer A Minor!

I'm sitting on the couch with Nicholi, we're both on our new mac book pros while watching the office, cat is sitting next to us and it's pouring outside but not yet cold. We've now been back since the end of August and the weather has just been amazing, beautiful end of the summer and fall has been sunny, warm & full of colour! I swear it is the most gorgeous time of the year here, I absolutely love the fall colours and they really look good on you, Bemidji.

Since we've been back the fall semester has been underway, we are currently half way through. I'm taking 15 credits and all are decent accept my print making class, which is exceptional! Jason Clark, a good friend, happens to be my instructor but more than that, it's incredibly fun and my first real art class into my major, which (as of now) will be BFA, bachelors in fine arts. Nicholi's taking 17 credits, most of which are science classes. So far he is on track to graduate spring of 2013 with a BA in Bio-chemistry and then onto med school, not sure where yet. My hopes are that I can get my AA here at BSU and transfer to where ever Nicholi gets into med school to finish my BFA. Because otherwise I'll have to get a BA in Science, emphasis in studio art because of how much they have cut the art department at our university. Jason's job is terminated after this spring semester too, it's awful, but as far as my plan goes, I think it will all work out.

Ever since we've been back Nicholi has had this huge surprise planned for my 21st birthday. He's never been one for keeping surprises but actually managed to keep this one for at least a month and a half, with only one slip up. We drove his parents to the airport Thursday the 6th and picked up my surprise then too. Nicholi surprised me by flying my two best friends Leith and Bri up here to spend 4 entire days with me! I was so excited! I had a feeling Leith would be coming but had NO CLUE about Bri! BEST SURPRISE EVER!! The four of us shopped around down town Bemidji, toured the university campus, went to the homecoming football game, had a bonfire, ate beaver droppings, walked through Itasca State Park, saw the head waters of the Mississippi River and crossed the river, played bunco, picked apples, got scolded by a farmer, ventured around the city of Duluth, ate some amazing food, bought my first drink, and just enjoyed every minute of it! They made me really like living here and both Leith and Bri loved visiting me here, even more than the other places I've lived! They left Tuesday morning but my birthday's not over yet, when Nicholi's parents get back from their fun east coast cruise, we will celebrate with them. Also, my boss turned 30 two days before my birthday so this coming weekend we're going out to celebrate too! I just love October :) Can't wait for Halloween next! 'Till then!
